The University of Guilan signed a joint cooperation agreement with Al-Mustaqbal University in order to internationalize education, expand the mobility programs of professors and students, develop cultural relations and joint scientific-research and educational activities. According to this MoU, the two institutes pledged their efforts to establish direct communication and scientific and educational cooperation between the faculty members, faculties and departments of the two parties to cooperate in common scientific fields.

Providing short-term and long-term trips for the faculty members; holding scientific meetings, workshops, and conferences; creating opportunities for students of different educational levels to participate in the mobility programs; developing joint educational programs for obtaining a joint academic degree; conducting joint research projects between the two universities' faculty members and researchers and etc., are the most important provisions of this memorandum.
