On the second day of the annual meeting of the Association of State Universities and Research Centers of the Caspian Sea Countries, held in Astrakhan, Russia, the members discussed ways to deal with scientific sanctions against the countries.
In this meeting, Dr. Mehdi Hedayati Shahidani, Director of international scientific cooperation at the University of Guilan, discussed the most important issues related to scientific sanctions in the international environment and their bad results in a report entitled "Patterns of Countering Scientific Sanctions against Countries."
Introducing different methods of scientific restriction and preventing access of scientists and researchers to scientific achievements, preventing joint research, and ways to deal with it were considered to be the main points raised in this report, and emphasis on regional and multilateral cooperation to eliminate the impact of restrictive measures against Joint scientific activities were introduced as one of the most important immediate actions of the members.
In this meeting, various managers and specialists from member universities of the Association presented their latest research in various scientific, research, and technological fields.
Solutions to deal with scientific sanctions were reviewed in the Science, Research, and Technology Commission of the Association of State Universities and Research Centers of Caspian Sea Countries
