The 17th Harekat (movement) International Festival, hosted by the University of Guilan, started with the slogan "Moving in the path of science and technology leap," aimed to display the scientific results and achievements of student scientific associations and create a platform for synergy and the transfer of experiences between them. From November 10 to 12, 400 students from 110 national universities participated in the festival.
The Harekat Festival, first held in 2008 by the University of Tehran, is now known as one of several special annual festivals of the Ministry of Science for scientific and student associations. The main goal of this festival is to display model activities, create mobility among associations, create a platform for synergy, and transfer experiences between scientific and student associations. So far, it has had significant success in this field.
At this festival, with the presence of the representative of the religious jurist in Gilan province, the chancellor of The University of Guilan, the cultural and social deputy of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, and a group of university and provincial managers, the emblem of this festival was unveiled.
In the opening ceremony of the 17th International Harekat Festival on November 10, 2024, the chancellor of The University of Guilan said that one of the most central activities of universities is the university's relationship with society and industry, which is realized through student scientific activities. Also, the scientific associations of counseling and biotechnology of the University of Guilan were selected in the education, technology, and social innovation parts, respectively, and the associations of mathematics, civil engineering, and architecture of the university were honored in the scientific event and meritorious publication sections.
