Dr. Doostar, chancellor of The University of Guilan, at the final meeting of the presidents of public universities and research centers of the Caspian Sea countries, held at the Astrakhan State Technical University of Russia, emphasized the importance of the reaction of the academic community to the brutal killing of the people of Gaza, students, and pupils, and the defense of the rights and Human dignity emphasized.
In this meeting, Dr. Mohammad Doostar, chancellor of the University of Guilan, while pointing out the wide capacity of the members of the association and also reporting on the performances of the Iranian members of this association, emphasized the operationalization of the memorandums and this regard, to support joint projects, proposed the establishment of a joint financial fund between universities and joint research centers, which was approved by the majority of members.
Referring to the use of the capacities of the Caspian Sea, the chancellor of the University of Guilan added that the existence of strategic ports on the shores of the Caspian Sea, free economic zones, international airports, proximity to the North-South corridor and the possibility of international transportation, the membership of universities in the Association with ship making facilities, the existence of abundant reserves in the Caspian Sea, cultural affinities and rich interactions are among the advantages that can be used to overcome the problems and also achieve joint success in the Caspian Sea.
He also said that member universities of the association must finalize their joint road map regarding the all-round support of researchers' efforts, considering the capacities of the Caspian Sea.
It should be noted that the 26th annual meeting of the members of the Association of State Universities and Research Centers of the Caspian Sea Countries was held from October 9 to October 11 at the Astrakhan State Technical University of the Russian Federation with the presence of its members.
