About
The Department of Russian Language began its educational activities in 2006. At the department, annually 200 students receive education in the specialty "Russian Language" at the BA level. The long-term activity of the Department of Russian Language at Guilan University has played an important role in the development of socio-cultural relations between Iran and Russia.
Due to the growing ties between the two countries in scientific, economic and cultural fields, as well as the richness of the Russian language and literature and the importance of the theoretical schools of Russian linguistics in the world, the need to study the Russian language is becoming more and more obvious. The goal of the department is to train qualified specialists in Russian language to meet the needs of society in human resources, specializing in Russian language research, as well as teaching issues, translating Russian texts to Persian and Persian to Russian. The students of Russian department master the basics of the Russian language and get the necessary knowledge in Russian linguistics.

TeachingUnderstanding and learning the Russian language, getting knowledge and applying this language for professional purposes by our students in future, depends not only on the knowledge itself, but also on how it is taught and studied. In the process of teaching the Russian Language, we use a communicative method, which today is the most effective way of teaching the Russian Language especially in a non- linguistic environment. Teaching methods also include lectures, seminars and group work.
