Department of Music
About
The department of music is located on the first floor of the Faculty of Arts and Architecture. The department was established in 2006 to support music performance, research and education related to musicology. The Department of Music consists of analysis, performance, anthropological and interdisciplinary studies. Currently, it has 8 full-time faculty members and 132 students.
Facilities and Equipment

TeachingLearning music is not only based on the knowledge itself, but also on how it is taught and studied. Here in the music department, professors teach music in various and practical ways such as lectures, seminars, small group learning, private classes, group work, etc. Also, due to the nature of music, students must work in every session.

ResearchOur faculty members are researchers and authors. They have published about 13 books and Articles based on Iranian Music, Composition, Ethnomusicology, Interdisciplinary Studies, Transcription, Folk Music, Poem, Music History, Music Theory and … . Also they have released Albums as a composer or player.
